Previously, my wife and I measured each other's blood pressure using a manual, that is, mechanical tonometer. This would be an Indian-made device, which was bought in 89, back in the USSR. The device was good, but everything has its time, and for 25 years of fairly frequent use it has worn out utterly. They did not buy a new mechanical one, they decided to switch to modern technologies and purchased this automatic model. Using an automatic device is much more convenient than a mechanical one. I put on the cuff, turned it on and got the result in one and a half to two minutes. At first we checked it with an old mechanical tonometer, but after a week and a half it became clear that this could not be done - it works quite accurately and the difference is usually 4-6 mm Hg. on systolic and even less on diastolic pressure. In addition to the blood pressure itself, this tonometer immediately calculates the pulse value. It also has an arrhythmia detection function and it really works. The wife sometimes has a flickering variety, and the device immediately shows the corresponding icon on the screen. The screen, by the way, is large, with large, well-read and contrasting numbers. There is a sixty-month official warranty from the manufacturer, which, in my opinion, is very good. The kit does not include a 220V power supply. The fabric of the cuff at first seemed stiff. |

Memory capacity
All readings are recorded in the device's memory with the exact date and time of the measurements. The volume of the data storage has two groups of 60 cells, which allows you to keep a calendar of measurements for two users. The results obtained have a minimum level of error (less than ±3 mm Hg).
Automatism
The device incorporates a compressor for pumping air into the cuff, so the user only needs to give a command to start taking measurements by pressing the “Start” key, after which it remains to wait for the results to be displayed on the display. It also displays the remaining battery power (4 AA batteries). It is not necessary to use batteries at all, since the device supports mains operation.
Cuff
The complete cuff sometimes strongly squeezes the user's forearm (especially at high pressure). It's all because of its too rigid structure. However, against the background of the functionality of the tonometer and the provision of a 5-year warranty for its components from the manufacturer, this drawback looks like a minor oversight, which can be corrected by purchasing another cuff of the same or larger size (for people with a large physique).
